Community Support

Although the School District’s spot for a student experiment is secured, the funding is not.  Presently fundraising efforts are underway to raise the $22,000 US necessary to launch the shoebox-sized experimental payload to the International Space Station.  Organization or individual sponsorship for the school district’s participation in the SSEP is welcomed… and necessary! Please see the “Sponsors” page of this site to see the logos of businesses and organizations who have made funding contributions to make this project possible.  We still have a long way to go and time is running out!

Anyone interested in making a donation is encouraged to contact the SSEP Project Coordinator, Paul Hembling, by phone or using the contact form.  Tax receipts are available from the School District office for tax purposes.

For individuals wishing to make a donation online, please use our PayPal donate button below.  Donations can be made using credit cards or the user’s own PayPal account (please note the donation account is under the name Bert Edwards Elementary School, the lead school of the SD73 SSEP initiative).
